Honoring industrialist Dov Lautman

Israeli businessman and industrialist Dov Lautman will be receiving the University of Haifa’s Business Leaders Forum award in recognition of his notable contribution to enhancing Israel’s image and prestige. The award will be presented at the University of Haifa’s Business Leaders Forum annual gala. Guests of honor will include Minister of Education Gideon Sa’ar and leading executives in Israel’s business sector.

Lautman, Israel Prize winner for lifetime achievement, founder of Delta Galil Industries, and an active member in many public and volunteer endeavors, will receive the award for his pioneering strides in Israel’s industry and economy; his involvement in public and volunteer activities; and his contribution to education and to advancing cultural diversity in Israel.

The award will be presented in the presence of Israel’s Minister of Education, Gideon Sa’ar. Intending to attend are Governor of the Bank of Israel, Prof. Stanley Fischer; Chairman of Israel Discount Bank, Dr. Yossi Bachar; businessman Alfred Akirov; Owner of Strauss Group, Michael Strauss; CEO and owners of Keter Israel, Sami Segol; President of the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel, Shraga Brosh; and more.

Amos Gaver, VP for External Relations and Resource Development at the University of Haifa, says that the Business Leaders Forum aims to connect the business world with the extensive academic and research activity taking place at the University of Haifa and in order to increase commercial-financial ties between business leaders and the academic world.

The annual Business Leaders Forum will be held on Tuesday, 4 January, at 7.30pm at the Hilton Tel Aviv hotel.
